Three Bean Soup
I grew up with my mom making this three bean soup, and I was obsessed with it. As a kid I LOVED bacon (which I hate now) so this soup was a huge treat. I now leave out the bacon, but it’s great both with and without it. It’s also very easy, and filling, which since bringing A home we are learning to appreciate more and more.
Ingredients
2 15 oz cans pork & beans, with the large pork piece removed
2 16 oz cans pinto beans
2 16oz cans kidney beans
2 lbs. turkey burger
1 large onion, chopped
1 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard

In a large pot brown the turkey with the onions. Once the turkey burger is cooked fully and the onions are translucent add all of the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes. Enjoy.
